General Farm Worker 

The applicant will require a practical aptitude for learning new physical skills and a desire to work outdoors in all weathers.  The nature of the work will be very physical for the majority of the contract.

Main Roles & Responsibilities

• Caring for livestock, including the cleaning, feeding, and medication of cattle and sheep; checking animals for sickness and other disorders
• Operating tractors and tractor-drawn machinery (training provided). 
• To assist with site maintenance

• To assist with the horticultural operations

Desirable Qualities 

  • A positive and conscientious attitude to work and people and time keeping 

  • An interest in agriculture, farming & food

  • Ability to learn new practical skills 

  • Good people skills

  • Ability to work well in a team

  • Ability to work on own initiative

  • Ability to work flexible hours to suit workload, weekend work required 

  • Own transport (due to our location)

  • Driving licence (essential) 

  • Relevant qualification (not essential) 


Full Time: Weekend work is required at busy times of the year. 

Pay Rate: dependant on experience
